More from "farm camp"

It was a hard day at farm camp. Here is what grandma Steele had to say:"This was a big day at Grandpa and Grandma's house. Mim came to visit and Isaiah used the potty three times. His reward-- 5 Ms. He was so happy! Supper time was in the middle of Spiderman so we set him up in the kitchen. At the climax of the movie we looked over and he was asleep (6:30.) Mim and Nomi had a great time together. We are going to the zoo tomorrow. Isaiah has been talking about it all day! Aunt Stephi and Mim are going too!"

Grandma Steele Says:
"Grandpa brought a Kreckels burger to Isaiah at the pasture. He ate it all but not until after the field trip. Nomi was just interested in sitting and pondering the whole experience. It was "tag their ears" day. We tried to get Isaiah to go and pet the steer but he didn't think much of that."

Little Steeles

Compare Micah and Naomi at about the same age and see what you think. Aren't they adorable? I think she looks just like him.

Sturgis Falls 5K

The kids left for "Farm Camp" again so Micah and I went to Cedar Falls to visit some friends during the Sturgis Falls celebration and to run in the 5K road race. My best friend Emily ran in the half marathon (her second in a month) and she has really inspired me to push myself. Micah and I had a really fun time seeing old friends and goofing off. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Steele!

The Grandview Gallop

I ( Jamie) ran in my first organized race, The Grandview Gallop in Dubuque. Micah and the kids came out to cheer me on. It was a fun but hard 4 miles and I managed to finish in 42 minutes! Yay! Praise God...I had to pray the whole way.

Happy Birthday Dad!

Micah turned 30 yesterday and we sent him this picture at work. When he got home Isaiah yelled "happy birthday!" and wanted to know where the cake was.

Cookout at the Friar's

Mom and John had a cookout for us on the last night we were in NC. We all ate too much and Isaiah and Naomi had the skin kissed off of their cheeks. Lexi hung out for the day at GG's and she and Isaiah played hard all day. She is the cutest thing! When she saw Isaiah she ran over and they hugged each other.

Bathing Beauties II

This is Naomi with my Grandma. We went to the pool at Grandma and Sandy's house and had a great time. Isaiah even got over his fear of water and jumped into the pool. My grandparents floated all around with him. When they got out for a rest he demanded that they get back in. Naomi did not care for the water too much so she hung out on the laps of those sitting poolside.

The Raleigh Farmers Market

We took a trip to the farmers market and had a great time. The smells are wonderful with all of the produce. Isaiah and Naomi got a taste of strawberries.

Pullen Park

Dad took Isaiah, Naomi, and I to Pullen Park today. It is fun to see my kids at the same park I used to play at. Nana took Dad there to play also. Here are pictures of Isaiah on the train, carousel, and boats. We all had a great time.

Isaiah's first fishing trip

Nana and Papa live on a lake. Hunter loves to fish and decided to take Isaiah. To our surprise he loved it. Hunter caught the fish and then let Isaiah reel them in. When he pulled the fish out of the water he slung it around all over an nearly hit Hunter and Nana in the face. They caught 6 fish in all. Isaiah even touched them! That is a big deal for Isaiah who is usually very guarded when it comes to new experiences. I am sure we will be on the lake more this week. Isaiah will probably hound Hunter to take him every day.

Papa's Deere

Papa's new lawn mower is a fun new toy for Isaiah. Papa Rick called Papa John and told him that he bought a new Deere mower and implied that he would be the favored grandparent in NC now. Papa John responded by saying that he would get a combine and put it in his front yard!

"Little Drummer Boy"

We are in NC again and having a great time. This drum is a present for Isaiah from Nana and Papa. It was a big hit... (ha, ha)
