Trip to Moline

Micah had training in Moline for two days so the kids and I went along. We went to the John Deere Pavilion and the World Headquarters. Isaiah loved climbing on the "quipment".

Dress up

The kids love to play dress up. Unfortunately I dont really have any boy dress up stuff so Isaiah has to be a princess all of the time. I really need to find some boy things but for now this is what they look like together when they dress up.

Our Angel

This is Naomi getting ready to go to church this morning. Isn't she sweet??

This is Naomi when we left the park this afternoon. Yep...that is the other side of her. She was adamant that we not leave! There was alot of screaming involved...

Tomorrow Will Be Better

Isaiah got off of the couch at around 3 and decided that he wanted to go to the park. After a thorough bath to scrub off all of the germs, the front yard was the best that I could do. Later when dad came home we went for a walk. After that he reitred to the couch again. Maybe tomorrow will be better.

Fun Day

I think that Naomi has appreciated the fact that Isaiah is under the weather. She has had more time with me all to herself than she has ever had. Here she is sitting in the freezer and playing at the table with magnets, a new favorite activity.

Sick Day

Isaiah took a day off today from bouncing off the walls and picking on Naomi. These picture are of him at various times during the day since 7 this morning. He was up in the night with a bad stomach ache and throwing up. We have stayed in our jammies all day. It has been REALLY quiet around here.

Sunny April Day

It was really sunny here today. The kids were happy to go outside. Isaiah was doing the pee dance as he ran out the door. "Isaiah, do you need to go potty?" "NO!" he replied. Then Micah snapped these pictures. A couple of seconds later Micah reported that Isaiah had peed in his pants...and pooped in them. I sent him straight to the tub cutting short his outdoor fun. I could not believe that he had pooped his pants just because he did not want to miss anything outside. As I was lecturing him in the bath (where there were little poopies floating around) God gently reminded me to have some grace by helping me to recount the time at Pullen Park when I was in the first grade and with my class on a field trip. I had waited a long time in line for the swing and when It was finally my turn I pooped my pants while swinging because I had to go and I did not want to get off. I knew I would have to wait in that long line again. I decided not to give Isaiah such a hard time for his decision!

Great Book

This is a great book. You all should turn off your TV and check it out. I would welcome any discussion about it's content.

Friends

Our dear friends Emily, Macy, Julia, and Noelle Hill came to visit this week. What a blessing! Too bad Josh and Caden had to stay home and hold down the fort. We really enjoyed the short visit. The kids played so well and I was able to get to know the newest addition to the Hill family a little better. Noelle is SO sweet. Naomi thought so too.

A Visit to Hotch

We went out to the pasture today to visit Hotch.  Here is grandpa wrangling him so that Isaiah can get a look and pet him.

A New Calf Born

On Saturday afternoon we had the opportunity to see a calf born.  Rick, Gwen, Hannah, Isaiah, Naomi, and I were very excited for the arrival.  We all were in the pasture for a couple of hours waiting until he was born.  Hannah and Rick helped in the delivery and Isaiah named him "Hotch".  I don't know where that came from...

Princess

We played outside for a long time today. I pushed her in the swing and had a mess on my hands when I was tired of it and ready to come in. She made it clear that she was not ready for any such thing!

Our cute boy

Look at that grin!  He said that he is going to be a farmer boy.  Somehow I don't think so.  There were three crying episodes while we were out at the pasture.  He's not really the adventurous type.  He is more happy close to mom like in this picture.

At the Pasture

Here is Isaiah at the pasture this afternoon in his new "poop boots" that we got at Farm and Fleet.  He outgrew the other ones so it was time.  He fell in the rocks and got hurt and got bit by some flies.  He wanted to "GO BACK TO GRANDMAS HOUSE!".

A few days at the farm

Isaiah, Naomi, and I came down to Micah's parents house for a few days since Micah is overseas.  Today it was around 60 degrees here so we went over to see the cattle.  The new calves that were born are so cute.  Grandpa and Aunt Hannah wrestled a couple into a chute for Isaiah to pet them.
