Naomi got a trim this week and I thought it turned out cute. Here is the new "do" and a flirty look to go with it.

Niabi Zoo
We went to the quad cities today. We had a picnic by the river and went to the zoo. Overall it was a good time. Isaiah had his usual number of meltdowns along the way. Each time I had the usual response of wondering if I have ruined the kid and feeling terribly guilty. I hope it's just a phase...for him and me. So, it was a normal day! We did spend the evening in the basement taking shelter from a tornado...I guess that dosen't happen everyday! We are fine but a small town near where we used to live got leveled. We are waiting up to see what the rest of the night holds. Lots of storms are on the way. Spring has arrived!

Turkey Business
This morning we had friends over to play. The turkey was in our yard and came right up the steps when Liza and her children came in. He proceded to actually chase Ashley into the house. Then while the kids were here playing Isaiah cut their childrens hair! I am not sure when they will be coming to play again!

Long weekend in Illionis
We went to visit the Steeles this past weekend. Hannah, Joel, Steph, Mim, and Cora came to hang out. Rick and Gwen invited Micah's friends from high school and their families over for dessert so we enjoyed visiting with them. Isaiah helped Micah and Rick plant corn and got a cool new haircut at Micah's previous barber--picture to follow. Micah got to try out and I got to see the controls on Ricks new tractor that Micah designed. (Did I mention how cool Micah is??) Joel and Micah went to a Cardinals game and Hannah and I went to the movies. Micah and I even got a date! Naomi started calling her grandpa "hapa". We had a great time!

Sunday Funday
Great weather enabled great fun in the back yard today . . . . along with the occasional moment of horrific calamity.
Dad, Kim, and Nana Visit
Dad, Kim, and Nana came to visit from North Carolina for a long weekend. We had so much fun with them. We ate lots of good food and had lots of laughs. I just wish they could have stayed longer!
On Friday we took the fam to the John Deere World Headquaters in Moline and to the JD Pavillion in Davenport. They enjoyed learning about the equipment.
On Saturday we went to Galena, IL. We ate a nice lunch and stopped to have ice cream. After that we went to the Dubuque Greyhound Park and Casino to watch the dog races. That was a hit with Nana.
