St. Louis

These are some pics from St. Louis. Regretfully I have no pictures of Joel, Miriam, and Cora. We only took pics at the game (did not sit with Joel and Micah) and at the arch ( Joel's family did not attend). Anyway, we had a great time hanging out with everyone and our children are really missing each other this week. They played great together.

Random

We tookthe kids over to the softball field at the high school this weekend because Isaiah has been so into baseball lately. Here are some pics I snapped.

The girls will probably not like that I put this picture on the blog but I thought it was a cute picture of us eating dinner. Our dinner table is full!

Last but certainly not least, this picture is of a paper that Isaiah wrote his name on. It was his first attempt at name writing.

Fun Saturday

Isaiah had his third soccer game today and he did great. He played most of the game and got really tired. Several times toward the end I caught him standing around picking his nose. I snapped a picture but Micah would not let me put it on the blog. This one is of his team minus Brooke who does not really want to play most of the time.

After soccer and lunch I took the kids to the Swiss Valley Nature Preserve and we hiked around. The weather was perfect and the kids had a great time.

Superhero

Isaiah is really into talking about superheros lately. Here he is in a Batman shirt and cape combo that Caden passed down. He claimed yesterday that HE is a superhero and he says things like "Mom, I can save you" and "I can protect you" and "I will never die". It is really cute. It has given me multiple opportunities to explain to him that God is really the only one who can protect us that that he sent Jesus to save us and only when we have faith and follow hard after Him will we never die. It is so fun to see him thinking about these things. He is just such a sponge when it comes to learning about God. He asks for a bible story every night and when Micah asks which one he wants he asks "which one can I have?".

Our Girls

Tessie and Rexhina are getting along fine. They seem to be having a positive experience. They are learing more english all of the time and making lots of new friends at school. This is a picture of them a couple of weeks ago at school. We are looking forward to showing them one of our favorite cities next weekend- St. Louis.

Stuff

We have been busy around the Steele household since I last posted. Isaiah started AWANA last Thursday and loved it. It is like a youth group for younger kids and they learn scripture, play games and do crafts. He wanted to know when he could go back again. He also had soccer again this week and loved that. I poured rain so we dont have any pictures but he did not miss a beat getting onto the field for practice. He said "The green team will NEVER score!". (That is the team we played last week.)

Micah bought us this fancy jog stroller from the lady down the street who was selling it. Now I can excersize with the kids and they seem to really like it. Especially if it involves a walk to the ice cream store like in this picture.

Rexhina and Tessie are doing great. I asked them what they thought after being here a month. I wanted to know if they thought they could handle 9 more. They said "sure!". Tessie added "I love the ice cream." They went on a retreat with the school and got to know alot of the students better and had a great time. We planned a trip to St. Louis to visit with Joel and steph, go to a Cardinal game, tour around, and take the girls to see Maroon 5 in concert. (Rexhina's favorite band) I think they are looking forward to that.

Getting ready for practice and the game.

A little apprehension, a few tears shed.
